International Internship University Launches Women’s Economic Empowerment Wednesdays

Two Weekly Global Masterclasses to Equip Women for Leadership, Visibility, and Global Influence Beginning July 22, 2026

July 2026 — The International Internship University (IIU) proudly announces the launch of Women’s Economic Empowerment Wednesdays, a new global educational initiative that builds upon the success of the University’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Series, first introduced in 2023 and developed by Dr. Virginia Rivera, CEO of International Internship University, whose work has helped advance women’s economic empowerment through education, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and systems-based approaches to sustainable social change.

Over the past three years, the series has been taught by Dr. Rivera and has welcomed participants from around the world, exploring practical and future-focused topics including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, digital transformation, innovation, emotional intelligence, public speaking, mentorship, education, public policy, and global collaboration.

More than a training program, the series has evolved into a platform dedicated to creating sustainable systems that support women in the twenty-first century. Its mission extends beyond economic empowerment by preparing women to become visible leaders, influential voices, and active participants in shaping the future of business, education, public policy, and society.

Beginning Wednesday, July 22, 2026, IIU will introduce a new dual-masterclass format that reflects this evolution.

Two Masterclasses. One Global Vision.

The first weekly masterclass, Women Are Infrastructure, is hosted by Dr. Virginia Rivera every Wednesday at 6:30 PM IST.

This signature program presents a transformative framework that recognizes women not as beneficiaries of development, but as the essential infrastructure upon which families, communities, economies, and nations are built. Through discussions on leadership, education, entrepreneurship, the care economy, public policy, and systems thinking, participants will explore how sustainable development begins by investing in women as architects of stronger societies.

At 8:00 PM IST, H.E. Ambassador Jeannette Matta will lead the Executive Leadership, Presence & Global Influence Masterclass, an advanced leadership program designed to prepare women to lead with confidence, credibility, and purpose on the global stage.

Drawing upon her extensive experience in humanitarian leadership, diplomacy, and executive development, Ambassador Matta will guide participants through the essential competencies of modern leadership, including executive presence, strategic communication, personal branding, influence, negotiation, and authentic leadership.

Together, these complementary masterclasses create a comprehensive leadership journey. While Women Are Infrastructure explores the systems, policies, and investments that empower women and strengthen societies, Executive Leadership, Presence & Global Influence equips women with the practical skills to step into positions of visibility, representation, and decision-making.

This innovative dual-masterclass model reflects IIU’s commitment to developing not only empowered women, but influential leaders capable of shaping institutions, communities, and nations.

“Women’s economic empowerment is not simply about creating opportunities—it is about creating systems where every woman has the freedom to lead, the dignity to be recognized, and the opportunity to prosper. When women become visible, represented, and empowered to influence decisions, they don’t just transform their own lives—they help shape the future of families, communities, and nations.”
