Super Woman of the Year 2026 Honors 228 Global Women Leaders Celebrating Courage , Resilience, and Impact

Mahila Udyami Foundation and Kartikey Foundation unite extraordinary women from around the world, recognizing their leadership and contributions to education, entrepreneurship, inclusion, and community transformation.

NEW DELHI, INDIA — October 18, 2026 — Mahila Udyami Foundation, in collaboration with Kartikey Foundation, hosted Super Woman of the Year 2026, an international virtual celebration recognizing 228 extraordinary women whose leadership, service, and commitment to humanity are creating meaningful change across communities and nations.

The celebration brought together educators, entrepreneurs, humanitarian advocates, innovators, professionals, and community leaders from diverse countries and cultural backgrounds.

More than an awards ceremony, the gathering became a powerful demonstration of global sisterhood, resilience, and the shared responsibility to build a more inclusive and equitable world.

Under the inspiring theme “Every Woman Deserves Her Crown,” the program celebrated women who have overcome personal and professional challenges while continuing to create opportunities for others.

Women Are Infrastructure, Not Intervention

Dr. Virginia Rivera, President and CEO of Mahila Udyami Foundation, emphasized that the recognition was intended to honor women’s achievements while drawing attention to the structural barriers that continue to limit their opportunities.

“Women are not waiting for change. They are leading it. This celebration honored the courage, service, and resilience of women whose work is transforming communities across the world.”

Rivera reinforced the foundation’s commitment to advancing women’s financial autonomy, entrepreneurship, education, and economic participation.

“Women should not have to be extraordinary simply to overcome ordinary barriers. Our responsibility is not simply to celebrate their strength, but to build the systems and opportunities that allow every woman to thrive.”

The foundation’s philosophy, “Women Are Infrastructure, Not Intervention,” recognizes women as essential contributors to economic prosperity, community stability, and sustainable development.

Strengthening Communities Through Partnership

Adv. Peeyush Pandit, Founding Member and Chairman of Mahila Udyami Foundation and Founder of Kartikey Foundation, played an important role in bringing the global celebration to fruition.

An advocate for education, social development, and entrepreneurship, Pandit has been instrumental in supporting the foundation’s expansion and the development of its global headquarters at E-Village in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The celebration reinforced the importance of men serving as active allies in advancing women’s empowerment.

Reflecting this shared commitment, the foundations emphasized that meaningful progress requires collaboration, mutual respect, and the creation of opportunities that strengthen entire communities.

Recognition is not the conclusion of empowerment. It is the beginning of greater responsibility and collective action.

A Message of Courage and Hope

One of the evening’s most meaningful moments came through the leadership of Linda Pereira, Chairperson of Mahila Udyami Foundation’s Global Advisory Board, who served as host of the international celebration.

Pereira guided the program with warmth, professionalism, compassion, and extraordinary sensitivity.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she shared her personal experience with cancer and her journey to becoming cancer-free.

Her testimony deeply resonated with participants and transformed the gathering into a moment of reflection, hope, and solidarity.

The program also honored the memory of individuals who have lost their lives to cancer and recognized those who continue facing the disease.

Her message served as a reminder that true leadership includes vulnerability, compassion, and the courage to inspire others through life’s most challenging experiences.

Celebrating Extraordinary Women Across Borders

Among the distinguished women recognized was Dr. Queen Elizabeth Lucas, whose commemorative recognition highlighted the international reach and diversity of the initiative.

The program brought together women working in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, human rights, social inclusion, community development, and numerous other fields.

Through their stories and accomplishments, honorees demonstrated how local action can generate meaningful global impact.

A particularly significant recognition was presented to Priscilla Garces, founder of Always Forward, who received the special Super Mahila of the Year 2026 Award for her advocacy in disability rights, accessibility, and inclusion.

Her recognition reinforced the importance of eliminating barriers and ensuring that every woman, regardless of ability or personal circumstances, has the right to participate fully in society.

Inclusion is not charity. It is a fundamental right.

From Recognition to Sustainable Economic Empowerment

Mahila Udyami Foundation’s work extends far beyond international events and awards.

The movement traces its origins to the establishment of Mujer Emprende Latina in Puerto Rico and the United States in 2016.

In 2024, the initiative expanded its mission in India under the Mahila Udyami identity, becoming a fully registered public trust in 2026.

With its global headquarters being developed at E-Village in Kunda, Uttar Pradesh, the foundation is strengthening programs focused on women’s economic independence, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, education, skill development, and sustainable agriculture.

Its initiatives include the Green GoddeX Agri-Tech and Sustainability Incubator, which seeks to strengthen rural women’s participation in emerging agricultural and sustainability opportunities.

The organization believes that when women gain access to education, economic resources, and decision-making opportunities, the benefits extend throughout their families and communities.

As Rivera frequently emphasizes:

“Access enables people. People transform economies.”

Every Woman Deserves Her Crown

The 228 recognized women received personalized commemorative trophies and recognition awards symbolizing their contributions to society.

But organizers emphasized that the most valuable outcome was not the recognition itself.

It was the creation of a stronger international network of women committed to supporting one another, sharing knowledge, expanding opportunities, and advancing collective progress.

The celebration also affirmed that meaningful partnerships can cross geographical, cultural, and professional boundaries.

Through mutual support and collaboration, women can strengthen their individual leadership while contributing to a more prosperous and sustainable future.

A Global Movement Beyond the Awards

As Super Woman of the Year 2026 concluded, Mahila Udyami Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to translating recognition into lasting action.

The foundation will continue expanding educational opportunities, supporting women entrepreneurs, strengthening international partnerships, and creating pathways toward financial autonomy and sustainable development.

For organizers, the October 18 celebration represented much more than a memorable global event.

It was an invitation to every participant to continue building a world where women’s contributions are recognized, their rights are protected, and their opportunities are not determined by the circumstances into which they were born.

“Today, we celebrated your courage. Tomorrow, we continue building the world you deserve,” Rivera concluded.

The celebration leaves a powerful message for women and their allies around the world:

Every Woman Deserves Her Crown.

We Are Stronger When We Build Together.
